Eschatology Entertainment, a Cyprus-based game development studio, has announced the completion of its Series A funding, securing $11.3 million total. KRAFTON, a South Korean video game publisher behind PUBG, led the fund round and was supported by two other venture capitalists, GEM Capital and The Game Funds.
In 2022, GEM Capital and The Games Fund initially invested $4 million in Eschatology Entertainment. Their recent participation in the Series A funding round has increased their cumulative investment in the game studio, reassuring their commitment to Eschatology Entertainment. This initial investment covered the gaming studio’s early development phases and helped assemble the current team.
According to the game development studio, the recent $11.3 million investment will foster the development of its upcoming Souls-like FPS set in an apocalyptic Wild West. The team will finalize the game’s most active and critical development stages and ensure a smooth production process before its launch. Eschatology Entertainment promises to deliver a high-quality game and maintain its timely release.
Speaking on the investment, Fuad Kuliev, Eschatology Entertainment’s co-founder said: “This deal is more than just a financial investment; it’s a collaborative journey that allows us to fully immerse ourselves in creating a world rich in atmosphere, history, and tough challenges. With the support of our new partner, KRAFTON, and the ongoing teamwork with old friends GEM Capital and The Games Fund, we now have all the resources needed to bring our ambitious vision to life. It is not only an opportunity to finish a unique, strong product. We need to narrate this incredible story through different games, opening with an alternative apocalyptic Wild West setting,”
Maria Park, KRAFTON’s VP and Head of Corporate Development said: “Eschatology Entertainment has an exciting future ahead of them, and we’re delighted to offer support to the team and their innovative ideas. This is at the very heart of what KRAFTON’s ‘Scale-Up-the Creative’ strategy is all about – finding the best talent in gaming and working with them to bring their creativity to the whole world.”
